Mmm Monday! Jacqueline Suzanne's Bistro

First I have to make a small request.  Check this out!  Does that ever feel good!

Inglewood, one of Calgary's most charming neighbourhoods, is sprinkled with beautiful boutique storefront concepts. Antiques. Wordly Spices. Retro furniture. Army surplus. Lots of personality.  Jennifer took me on a wonderful date last night (much needed), to see the musical CATS at the Max Bell theatre. CATS is a warm childhood reminiscence for me, and something very special to share with Jennifer. A very fun and entertaining performace.

Afterward we had a lovely dinner at an Inglewood Bistro called Jacqueline Suzanne's. I have sauntered past many a times longing to one day check it out.  We were so happy we did.  It brought us right back to our first dates.  The setting is romantic and rustic.   Antiques and unique art work surrounded us, all for sale as well as this bistro doubles as an art and antique shop.

The food was wonderfully predictable rich French cuisine. I am all about twists on this and that for sure, but there is something comforting and romantic about traditional cuisine. We had medium rare grilled lamb as a starter. And in sharing fashion followed it with beef stroganoff and stuffed chicken on brown rice with veg, both finished with pea shoots...a personal favourite for salads, sandwiches, pasta salads!.

Thumbs up to a delightful new favourite dining spot.  And thank you Jennifer for keeping things so romantic.

We had our menu tasting event this past weekend.  Went amazingly! Details and pics to follow. RV safetied and ready for contruction paint and equipment install.  Read about the progress through out the week.  We have exactly 4 weeks to pull this off.  I know we can do it!

Have an awesome day!
